Quote:Chances are you've seen all of the information plastered all over the web, and that you know a fair bit about the upcoming Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. But the chances are that you want to know more, or you have questions concerning how the game will work. If so, today's your lucky day- a few members of the Banjo community (me included) will be chatting with Banjo supremo Gregg Mayles about Banjo's new adventure, and we want your questions.

Try to avoid stupid ones like "Will <minor character/> be returning?" and keep the questions Banjo-themed. There is a forum thread just here, but be quick about it- the chat takes place at 7:30 tonight (UK time, folks) so you've got just under 4 hours to get your questions to me.
Please post any questions below.
1. It has been a while since Banjo & Kazooie have had a big title out. Because of this, are there any plans of a collector's edition of the game like so many other games tend to be doing these days? It would be good if it could be done and you could get something like a statue of Banjo and Kazooie, or an artbook along with it in a special case.

2. I've heard that quite a few of the moves that Banjo and Kazooie could do in the old games won't really work anymore. Does this mean that Kazooie is now pretty much out of work? Can she fly at all anymore? What about running around with Banjo on her back at least, can that still be done?
Posted this on BTHive but in case you forget to check:
Vidd Wrote:Does Kazooie have any of her old abilities or failing that, any use besides using the Mumbo staff?
i.e. what do Banjo and Kazooie lend to the vehicle building idea given that it was originally a separate concept.

EDIT: Better one maybe?

In the trailer, the hovering vehicle launches its middle section which then acts as a separate vehicle entirely. How open is the engine to ideas like this or are features like this specified in particular to allow the user to create them?
e.g. could I create a car-like machine that then launches a helicopter pod or a flying machine that can spawn a hovercraft?

Maybe they're silly questions or too specific but they're the sort of thing I'd like to find out since it's the new mechanics that really have to prove themselves. I'd rather find these out now and find out who LOG is later etc.

Of course, please ask about a demo so you can get a non-committal answer that doesn't answer the question.
Well, it looks like Kazooie doesn't have any unique moves, just the staff. Also, musical notes can be used to buy extra health, stamina, etc.
Combat is varied, depending on the weapon; there's a blue egg cannon that fires eggs in a streight line, a homing "toperdile" that works above and below water, and lots of other crazy gadgets.
Maximum vehicle size is 19x19 blocks. You can also mix types of vehicle. There are about 100 different blocks, and many variatons of each- totaling 1600 blocks.
The game is about 80% vehicle based, 20% platforming ("just a rough guess")
That Mario sprite in the video was actually a vehicle. You could get in and pilot it. Very Happy But you can apparently make loads of stuff, like "pogo sticks, spiders, a ball that rolls around"...
Vehicles break up, much the same way that they are put together- so if you crash it off a cliff, it'll smash.
In answer to Vidd's question about BK lending to the vehicle building concept gregg answered "Good question... not a lot." But mumbo's magic wrench is used to create the vehicles.
There are 96 challenges, another 96 different versions of them- apparently about 130 jiggies in total.
Those spheres in showdown town are like world entrances- get enough jiggies, and all doors nearby open. Example- there are 6 doors in Nutty Acres.
Each door leading to a different "act". A bit like DKR.
This is the 3rd incarnation of Banjo 3- the other two didn't offer much new in terms of gameplay, thus were scrapped. They first started after ghoulies.

Most major characters will be returning with "multiple roles"- one in the real world (showdown town) and one acting role (ie, the actual levels.)

You will be able to store many vehicles- as many as they can, "without breaking the software". Multiplayer is all vehicle based, online and offline, there's also co-op.
In an old version of the game, it was like a carbon copy but then everything changed- like a giant queen termite in Mumbo's Mountain, and you had to get Conga to throw oranges at her.
Also, vehicles have replaced transformations. "Think of them as lots of transformations", Gregg says.
